SLS and Kouwenberg Infra worked together to construct this new sewer and storm water system to better connect the residents of Lyngby with the city of Copenhagen. We completed over 1200m of microtunnelling drilling at diameters of 860, 1099 and 1280mm and auger drilling at 1220 and 600mm using MTS and Herrenknecht machinery.

We appreciate the services that were provided to us in the form of SLS . The guys were very experienced and professional, friendly and hassle-free, with a good balance of experience and youthful energy.

This project was to improve and expand the sewer system along Buddingevej road in the Lyngby area of northern Copenhagen. A simultaneously-drilled split-level tunnel design is a major unique feature of this project. A more common challenge we’re facing is time pressure, with the client requiring minimum disruption around this busy city thoroughfare and supply issues at the outset requiring us to mobilise more crew members to get the project back on schedule.

We are constructing 8 tunnels total, at one point with two different machines tunnelling in two different directions from one shaft in order to work more efficiently. The HK AVN has finished its tunnels with the MTS machine working on the remaining two.

Kouwenberg Infra B.V. completed all of the engineering and supplied all tunnelling equipment for this project.
